MONMOUTH LADS CLUB CONSTITUTION

 

NAME OF THE CLUB:

Monmouth Lads Club.

CLUB COLOURS:

First strip: Tangerine and Black
Second strip: Blue

OBJECTIVES:

The aim of the club is to promote organised football and good sportsmanship within the various age groups. The club will seek to develop and enhance the knowledge and skills of each individual.

STRUCTURE OF THE CLUB:

A Management Committee
Consisting of a President, a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman, a Treasurer, a Secretary and such other positions as considered necessary.

Players will be aged between 5 and 17.

RULES OF THE CLUB:

An Annual General Meeting shall take place in July each year at which the following shall take place: -
a) Audited club accounts shall be presented.
b) Officers are elected to the Management Committee.
c) Retiring officers are eligible for re-election.

21 days notice must be given prior to an AGM.
Club meetings shall be held on the 1st Tuesday of each month.

The Management Committee:

a) Shall have the powers to apply, act upon and enforce the rules of the club and shall also have jurisdiction over all matters affecting the club.
b) Shall appoint the Team Managers annually.
c) Shall appoint a Child Protection Officer.
d) Shall deal with disciplinary matters within the club.
e) Shall recommend training fee amounts for ratification by the AGM.
f) Shall appoint an Auditor.


Code of Conduct:

To set a high standard of behavior for players, managers, team officials and spectators.

Discipline:
Initially, Managers are responsible for discipline within their teams. However no manager or officer can cancel a player’s membership of the club without reference to the Management Committee. Players have a right to a personal hearing by the Management Committee and the Committee must be kept fully informed of all disciplinary matters.
The Management Committee will sit for any hearings that are requested and they have the power to warn as to future conduct, suspend from membership, and remove from membership.

Team Managers:

a) Must hold or be working towards a Junior Leaders award.
b) Responsible for completion of all registration forms required by the league and must be handed to the club secretary.
c) Responsible for all team equipment.
d) Responsible for the collection of all training fees.

Insurance:

The Clubs insurance details are available on request.

Finances and Property:

All monies and properties within each team belong to the Club. All managers must supply an inventory of all equipment at the end of each season or when requested by the management committee.
The Treasurer is responsible for the issuing of receipts and invoices where applicable.
The Treasurer shall present a balance sheet at each Management committee meeting.
The Management Committee must be informed prior to purchases being made and events organised.

Extraordinary Meetings:

In the event of any disagreements between either committee and/or members an extraordinary meeting may be held to resolve the matter. The decisions of such a meeting to be binding on all concerned.

Child Protection:

The club recognises its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people, A Child Protection Officer will be appointed who will deal with relevant matters within the club and attend at least one child protection course or seminar each year.

In the event of the club ceasing to exist all monies and equipment will be distributed to local youth and sporting charities at the discretion of the committee.
